The Naugatuck YMCA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose purpose is to be open and accessible to everyone in our community. Membership and program fees are meant to be affordable for the average person, but these fees cover only part of the Y's annual expenses. In order to fulfill our charitable mission, the Y offers membership and programs on a sliding scale to those who qualify. Each year the Y must rely on contributions from members and community supporters to provide these services.

· Financial assistance to local families in need of Y services
· Free swim hours for seniors
· Summer day camp scholarships
· School aged child care scholarships
· Social skill enhancement programs for young people
· Activities for individuals with special physical and mental challenges
· Nursery school and preschool programs
· Family programs

We hope you will consider a tax-deductible donation of $50 or more the Y's "Circle of Giving"

Over $250,000 is needed each year to provide the outreach services described above, and our members are our most important asset in raising the funds necessary to continue these vital programs. Last year over 600 people benefited from financial assistance and programs made possible by the Y's Fund for Community Service. This fund must be replenished each year through:

· Y Annual Auction Dinner
· YMCA/Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing
· United Way Contributions
· Donations from Individuals
· Endowment Gifts
